"Scholars of fiqh and mujtahids know very well how, and from what age, the hijab should be worn. The hijab is not banned in Azerbaijan."
According to AZERTAC, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, made these remarks in an interview with Real TV.
He noted that girls study wearing the hijab at religious educational institutions. In state educational institutions, however, a decision has been made on a single school uniform.
