On July 24, a delegation from the Caucasus Muslims Board, headed by its chairman Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in our country. Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade was warmly welcomed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan, Mr. Bahrom Ashrafkhanov, at the new building of the Uzbek Embassy in a beautiful corner of our capital. Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade, who got acquainted with the embassy building, recited verses from the Qur'an and offered prayers at the diplomatic mission of the brotherly country, expressed his best wishes to the embassy staff, headed by Ambassador B. Ashrafkhanov, and wished them success in their future endeavors.

Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade emphasized with satisfaction that the sincere brotherly relations between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev give a great impetus and important contributions to strengthening friendship, brotherhood and high-level cooperation in all areas of life between our peoples and states. Referring to the fact that the mutual visits of our state leaders serve to further deepen these relations, Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade considered the participation of His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and His Excellency Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in the opening of the new building of the embassy of the brotherly country in Baku as a special event. He stated that raising relations between our brotherly states to the level of alliance is an act that is pleasing to Allah the Almighty.

Sheikhulislam A. Pashazade presented a letter of congratulations to the ambassador of the brotherly country on the occasion of the birthday of His Excellency Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which coincided with this day. The letter emphasizes that preserving the historical, cultural and spiritual ties with brotherly Uzbekistan, which is a heart of Central Asia and an inexhaustible treasure for the entire Islamic world, based on a rich spiritual heritage, has always been of special importance for Azerbaijan: "I sincerely wish that the high-level, mutually beneficial relations between our friendly, brotherly and allied peoples and states in all areas of life will further develop for the sake of our common interests, Insha'Allah!".
