On December 24, Mufti Salman Musayev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, received Fatih Mehmet Karaca, the Deputy President of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) of the Republic of Türkiye, who is on a visit to our country. Welcoming the guest warmly, Mufti Salman Musayev conveyed the greetings and prayers of the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade. He noted that His Eminence the Sheikh-ul-Islam had sent a congratulatory letter to Safi Arpaguş on his recent election as the President of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and extended an invitation for the President to visit Azerbaijan. He expressed hope that the official visit would take place in the near future.

Mufti Salman Musayev emphasized that relations between the CMB and the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) are at a high level, noting that these ties have further developed in recent years through influential platforms such as the Consultative Council of Heads of Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States.

Fatih Mehmet Karaca expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and requested that the greetings of the President of Religious Affairs, Safi Arpaguş, be conveyed to His Eminence Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade. During the conversation, the work to be carried out by the Consultative Council of Heads of Religious Administrations of the OTS in 2026 was discussed, and an exchange of views took place on other matters of mutual interest.
