Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

On July 16, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan, who was on a visit to our country.

According to AZERTAC, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade expressed his satisfaction with the guest's visit to Azerbaijan. He recalled the special importance that National Leader Heydar Aliyev attached to cooperation among Turkic-speaking states and noted that this strategic policy is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

Allahshukur Pashazade stated that he has been pleased to follow Turkmenistan's path of development since it gained independence and expressed his desire to visit Turkmenistan again soon and meet with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Touching upon the issues of cooperation in the religious field, Allahshukur Pashazade recalled his previous meeting with the Mufti of Turkmenistan. He emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, including cooperation in the religious and spiritual fields, are expanding under the leadership of the heads of state of both countries.

In his speech, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his satisfaction with his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev. He stressed that the existing religious and spiritual ties between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan further strengthen the friendly relations between our peoples and expressed his confidence that this meeting would contribute to the further expansion of these ties.

During the meeting, the strategic importance of joint initiatives was highlighted, noting that religious and spiritual cooperation holds a key place within this framework and that it is vital to continue joint efforts in this direction in the future.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan invited Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade to the opening ceremony of a mosque to be held in Turkmenistan.

Following the discussion, gifts were exchanged, and a dinner was held in honor of the guest at the end of the meeting.
