.A meeting was held in Istanbul between Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, and Safi Arpaguş, President of the Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) of the Republic of Türkiye.

Expressing his pleasure at meeting with Allahshukur Pashazade, Safi Arpaguş conveyed his sincere wishes to Azerbaijan.

Emphasizing the historic significance of the meeting, Allahshukur Pashazade recalled that he had met with Safi Arpaguş back when the latter was serving as Mufti of Istanbul.

The meeting covered matters of mutual interest, as well as the expansion of cooperation and organizational matters relating to the meeting of the Council of Heads of Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States, to be held this September.
