Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, is departing on a visit to the Republic of Mauritius.
The purpose of the visit is to take part in the 2026 World Council meeting of the "Religions for Peace" organization, to be held in Mauritius on June 23–26 on the theme "Building Pathways Toward Shared Blessed Flourishing."
The visit is taking place at the invitation of Dr. Francis Kuria, Secretary General of "Religions for Peace." Sheikh ul-Islam A. Pashazade was elected Co-President of the World Council of "Religions for Peace" in 2025, and it is in this capacity that he will participate in this year's meeting.
Sheikh ul-Islam A. Pashazade will speak at the opening of the prestigious gathering and will serve as moderator of the session "Artificial Intelligence — Human Rights, Dignity, and Multireligious Perspectives on AI."
"Religions for Peace" is the world's largest and most wide-reaching international interreligious peace organization, with a history spanning more than half a century.
A series of bilateral meetings for CMB Chairman A. Pashazade are planned within the framework of the international event.
