On July 29, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, received the President of the International Turkic Academy (ITA), Academician Shahin Mustafayev.
Warmly greeting his guest, the CMB Chairman called it an important development that an Azerbaijani scholar heads such a prestigious international body.
His Eminence noted that the CMB is one of the founders of the Consultative Council of Religious Leaders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), and takes an active part in the work of this body, which was established in Shusha in October 2022.
Allahshukur Pashazade said that the organization's next meeting is planned to be held in Baku this September, and that within the framework of this session an international academic conference dedicated to Sayyid Yahya Bakuvi is also envisaged. His Eminence invited the guest to these events.
The President of the International Turkic Academy, Shahin Mustafayev, expressed his gratitude for the invitation, and gave detailed information about the ITA — founded in 2010 and headquartered in Astana, Kazakhstan — and the projects the organization has carried out in recent years.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for future cooperation between the CMB and the ITA. A commemorative photo was taken at the end.
