On July 21, the First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Mufti Salman Musayev, received Bishop Dr. Munib Younan, Co-President of the "Religions for Peace" International Organization.
Conveying the greetings and prayers of the CMB Chairman, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, to the guest, Mufti Salman Musayev emphasized his pleasure at meeting the distinguished religious figure once again in Baku. The Mufti particularly noted Dr. Munib Younan's active participation in international events organized by the CMB, both in Azerbaijan and in various countries around the world.
The First Deputy Chairman of the CMB gave extensive information about the religious environment in our country and the warm relations that have formed between religions and cultures. He spoke about the work carried out by the Council of Religious Confessions of Azerbaijan, which is chaired by Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade.
The guest praised Azerbaijan's environment of tolerance and particularly noted that our country makes important contributions to intercultural dialogue in today's troubled world. Bishop Dr. Munib Younan expressed his pride in serving alongside such an influential religious figure as His Eminence Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade in the position of Co-President of the "Religions for Peace" International Organization.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
