On August 18, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, received Issam bin Saleh al-Juteyli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Warmly greeting his guest, His Eminence noted that relations between our countries have deep historical roots: "The location of Islam's holy sites within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further strengthens our religious and spiritual bonds."
The Chairman of the Board added that the cordial relations between the two countries' leaders contribute to developing these ties: "The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, are doing great work to further develop relations across various fields."
Allahshukur Pashazade gave a positive assessment of the ambassador's services in strengthening bilateral ties.
His Eminence asked the ambassador to convey the gratitude of our faithful to the leadership of the relevant Saudi institutions for the conditions they created to ensure the safe and comfortable performance of the holy Hajj pilgrimage by Azerbaijani pilgrims.
Thanking his hosts for the warm reception and kind words, Ambassador Issam bin Saleh al-Juteyli expressed his pleasure at meeting the Board's Chairman once again, and said that Allahshukur Pashazade makes important contributions to interfaith dialogue and to bringing religious denominations closer together: "His Eminence's services in fostering understanding between religions and cultures and in combating Islamophobia are undeniable."
