Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, who is on a visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a series of bilateral meetings as part of his participation in the 8th Astana Congress of World and Traditional Religions.
During a meeting held at the initiative of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the prospects for traditional religious and spiritual cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Caucasus Muslims Board were discussed.
During the meeting with the Minister of Information and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, satisfaction was expressed with the high level of religious and cultural relations between our brotherly countries. They also discussed the prospects for the active participation of our countries in the interfaith dialogue process and emphasized the importance of continued joint participation in the Astana Congresses and international forums and initiatives on dialogue and cooperation between religions and civilizations hosted by Baku. Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazade expressed his deep gratitude to the state of Kazakhstan, its leadership, and officials for the high level of organization and hospitality of the Astana Congress, as always, and evaluated it as another success of brotherly Kazakhstan.

In a sincere meeting with the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Muhammad Abdulsalam, the upcoming plans of this prestigious institution, of which the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazade, is a member, were discussed. The exemplary model of inter-denominational understanding that Azerbaijan possesses was specifically emphasized as a model for intra-Islamic dialogue on a global scale, and efforts to promote this model were discussed.
During the meeting with the Prefect of the Vatican's Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, satisfaction was expressed with the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and the Holy See, as well as cooperation between the Caucasus Muslims Board and the Vatican. The importance of continuing these relations traditionally and developing them continuously in the context of international interfaith cooperation was emphasized, and future plans were discussed.
The 8th Congress of World and Traditional Religions, an influential international interfaith dialogue platform, continues its work.
