A feast has been held in Baku for the participants of the VII Meeting of the Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the 1st International Conference on the topic "The Peak of Seyyid Yahya Bakuvi in the Cultural Heritage of the Islamic World: Moderate Values and Contemporary Challenges."
As reported by AZERTAC, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, who addressed the event, assessed the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity as a major historical event and spoke about the restoration of religious and cultural monuments in Karabakh and the large-scale reconstruction works being carried out there. He emphasised the importance of the friendship and brotherly relations among the Turkic states, as well as the cooperation between state and religious leaders.
Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Muhammad Abdulsalam highly valued Azerbaijan's efforts in the direction of strengthening peace, tolerance and human brotherhood in the region. He made special note of President Ilham Aliyev's prioritisation of peace and his being awarded the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity.
President of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye Safi Arpaguş stated that Azerbaijan serves as an important bridge of brotherhood between the Turkic world and the Islamic world. He emphasised that the strengthening of unity and solidarity among the Turkic and Muslim states creates great opportunities for a common future.
The feast was attended by the heads of Muslim religious boards of OTS member and observer states, religious figures, conference participants, and representatives of state and public bodies.
