On March 4, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, hosted an Iftar feast at his residence on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
AZERTAC reports that the ceremony was attended by Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, ambassadors of Muslim countries in Azerbaijan, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as heads of religious confessions operating in our country.
The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, spoke about the significance of the month of Ramadan and noted the state-religion relations and the environment of religious tolerance in Azerbaijan. He stated that Azerbaijan is a state that defends Islamic values and interests in the world, makes important contributions to Islamic solidarity, and demonstrates a resolute position against Islamophobia.
Subsequently, heads of religious confessions operating in Azerbaijan and other guests delivered speeches. In the speeches, the steps taken by Azerbaijan toward promoting interreligious and intercultural dialogue at the international level were highly appreciated, and it was emphasized that our country has formed an exemplary model in this field.
Afterward, an Iftar feast was served.
