On February 17, a meeting of the Board of Qadis of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB) regarding the month of Ramadan was held.
The ceremony began with the sounding of the National Anthem and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
The Chairman of the CMB, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, delivered a speech congratulating the Muslims of the world on the occasion of the start of the blessed month of Ramadan. Recalling verse 183 of Surah Al-Baqarah from the Holy Quran, he spoke about the spiritual essence of fasting. In his speech, Allahshukur Pashazade also touched upon the issue of artificial intelligence, calling on religious figures to be active in educational work in this field and emphasizing the importance of using technology within an ethical framework.
Fuad Nurullayev, Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, brought the fatwa prepared by the Board of Qadis regarding the month of Ramadan to the attention of the participants. The rules of fasting, timings, and other religious matters were reflected therein. The fatwa was put to a vote and adopted by the members of the Board.
Subsequently, the updated logo of the Caucasus Muslims Board was approved.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Mufti Salman Musayev, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, Sahib Nagiyev, and others exchanged views on other matters on the agenda. Topical issues of interest to religious figures were discussed at the ceremony, and relevant recommendations were provided.
