Participants of the international scientific-practical conference on Sheikh Seyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani — the distinguished Islamic thinker, prominent Azerbaijani scholar and theologian-philosopher — visited the Martyrs' Alley in the city of Aghdam. The conference is being held within the framework of the 7th Meeting of the OTS Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards.
According to AZERTAC's regional correspondent, the visitors were briefed on the history of the Martyrs' Alley.
They were told that the Aghdam Martyrs' Alley is the burial site of heroic sons and daughters of the Motherland who fell as martyrs in the First Karabakh War, as well as some of the residents of Khojaly who were killed in the Khojaly genocide.
It was noted that the graves in the Martyrs' Alley were subjected to vandalism during the occupation.
The conference participants offered prayers for the souls of the martyrs.
