  •  2026-02-27 00:00:00

On February 26, a meeting was held at the Caucasus Muslims Board with participants of the 17th International Multiculturalism School titled "In Azerbaijan's Intercultural Context: Urban Memory and Architecture," organized by the Baku International Multiculturalism Center.
Rashad Aliyarli, Deputy Chairman of the CMB, welcomed the youth representing more than 20 countries and conveyed the blessings of His Holiness Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade. He stated that the development of tolerance and cultural diversity is one of the main directions of state policy, and as a religious center, the CMB strives to make significant contributions to interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
Gamarkhanim Javadli, Deputy Chairman of the CMB, informed the guests about the historical path of the religious center and spoke about joint ceremonies held with the Baku International Multiculturalism Center. The Deputy Chairman emphasized that today's meeting coincides with the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide. Providing extensive information about the atrocities committed by Armenia against peaceful civilians in Khojaly and Karabakh, as well as acts of vandalism aimed at destroying cultural and religious monuments, Gamarhanim Javadli spoke about the work carried out by our state following the 44-day Patriotic War in restoring mosques and temples belonging to other religions in the liberated territories.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding questions of interest to the guests. Afterward, participants of the 17th International Multiculturalism School visited the Taza Pir Mosque. The guests were provided with detailed information about the history of the mosque and the landscaping and construction work carried out on the territory of the complex through the care of the country's leadership.
