On May 8, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), who is on a visit to the Republic of Türkiye at the invitation of Akkan Suver, Chairman of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, participated in the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit.
Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade delivered a speech as an honorary guest at the summit, which was attended by government officials, influential religious figures, and politicians representing various countries around the world. CMB Chairman A. Pashazade highly valued the broad public and cultural activities of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation on a global scale—representing the interests of the Turkic world in socio-economic relations and encompassing our spiritual values, national identity, and historical achievements. He emphasized that the humanitarian projects implemented by the Foundation over the past 40 years are met with great sympathy in Azerbaijan, as they are throughout the world, and he referred to the head of the Foundation, Akkan Suver, as a loyal friend of Azerbaijan. He stated that the main purpose of our meetings is to demonstrate our joint position and solidarity against global disasters and public threats occurring in the world: “Today, new dangerous trends that have emerged in the modern world—the distortion and insult of religious-cultural values that have held a place in human thinking and spirituality for centuries—unfortunately continue, and this strikes the greatest blow to the creation of peace and reconciliation, which is the ultimate desire of each of us. We advocate for the early cessation of all conflicts that pose a threat to world stability, including the wars in Ukraine, the Middle East, especially in Gaza, Palestine, as well as in Africa, and their fair resolution through peace within the framework of international law for the sake of universal interests.”
At the meeting held on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, a commemorative award was presented to CMB Chairman A. Pashazade on the occasion of the organization's anniversary.
Within the framework of the ceremony, Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazade held cordial meetings with a number of well-known state, religious, and public figures.
