The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), His Eminence Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, will travel to the Kingdom of Spain on April 24, 2025.
The Chairman of the CMB, A. Pashazade, has been invited by Miguel Ángel Moratinos, Under-Secretary-General of the UN and High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), to participate in the inaugural ceremony of a joint initiative by the UNAOC and the "Religions for Peace" organisation, titled: "A Call for Peace, to End Wars, and Respect International Law."
The roundtable and memorial ceremony, which will feature religious leaders, will take place in the historic city of Gernika, Spain, on April 25-26, to mark the 88th anniversary of the tragic bombing. The initiative aims to promote a message of peace, support respect for international law, and strengthen the condemnation of wars.
His Eminence Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazade is scheduled to address the ceremonies.
