The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, departs for a visit to the Vatican on February 8.
The visit takes place at the personal invitation of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the head of the Holy See and the Catholic Church. Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazade will have an audience with the Pontiff on February 9.
During the visit, bilateral meetings are scheduled between the heads of religious confessions in Azerbaijan and the Vatican State Secretary, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, as well as other Vatican officials.
