On May 8, the First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Mufti Salman Musayev, met with a delegation led by Selim Argun, Deputy President of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) of the Republic of Türkiye, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
Conveying the greetings and prayers of the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, to the guests, Salman Musayev emphasized that relations between the CMB and the Presidency of Religious Affairs are at a high level.
His Eminence the Mufti noted that important joint work has been carried out within the framework of the Meeting of Religious Leaders of the Organization of Turkic States and expressed his desire for continued activity in this field.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Selim Argun, Deputy President of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, spoke about his visit to our country and the meetings held by the delegation here. The guest stated that Azerbaijan's historic victory in Karabakh and the restoration of its sovereign territories are a source of pride. The extensive construction work in the liberated cities and regions and the rapid restoration of religious monuments are indicators of the importance the Azerbaijani state places on religious and spiritual values. Selim Argun expressed his desire to visit Shusha and other liberated territories during his next visit to our country.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on other matters of mutual interest.
