As part of their Karabakh trip, participants of the international scientific-practical conference on Sheikh Seyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani — the distinguished Islamic thinker, prominent Azerbaijani scholar and theologian-philosopher — visited the city of Khankendi.
According to AZERTAC's regional correspondent, the delegation first stopped at Victory Square, where they were briefed on the restoration and reconstruction work under way in Khankendi and the rebuilding of the city's infrastructure.
The conference participants then toured the newly created Victory Park in Khankendi. They were told that the park reflects the fighting spirit and unparalleled heroism of the Azerbaijani people in restoring historic justice and defending their territorial integrity, as well as the magnificent Victory achieved during the 44-day Patriotic War.
After getting acquainted with Khankendi, the delegation set off for Shusha.
